Underwater light is widely used under boats, swimming pools, landscape pools, fountain pools and parks, and other places that require underwater lighting and are beautiful.

It's not important to install the product in a good installation environment and pay attention to safety details.


Next, let's learn the precautions for the installation of underwater lights:

1. For Lamp Selection

Pay attention to the waterproofness of the lamps, the power supply voltage, and the power consumption of a single lamp;

2. Calculate the Wire Diameter of The Cable

Underwater lights generally use low-voltage safety voltages.

Low-voltage and high-current power supply will affect the voltage drop of the line, 

so it is necessary to calculate the voltage drop at the end of each line first, and reserve the cable in advance;

3. Power Supply Safety

Isolation transformers and leakage switches that supply power to underwater lights must be arranged outside Zone 2 to avoid electric shock accidents;

4. Reserve the Cable

Whether it is a bracket-type underwater light or an embedded underwater light, a 0.6-1 meter long cable should be reserved.

In this way, even if the lamp is broken, the water in the pool needs to be released, and the lamp can be raised to the water surface to replace the wiring and wiring for waterproof treatment;

5. Waterproof Wiring

Other wiring, wiring, and waterproof sealing of joints can basically be handled by ordinary plumbers and decorators.


Some Problems In The Installation of LED Underwater Light Need Special Attention:

1. LED Underwater Light Should Be Powered By DC Constant Current Power Supply.

Under the control of a constant current power supply, the forward voltage drop of the LED wall washer, LED flood light, LED underwater light, and LED buried light will decrease with the increase of LED chip temperature. 

Turning off the lights didn't make much of a difference.

However, if it is driven by constant voltage, it will cause the chip of the LED underwater light to continuously increase the current as the temperature rises. 

In severe cases, the LED underwater light may even be burned.

Therefore, the LED underwater light should be powered by a DC constant current power supply.

2. It's Necessary To Take Anti-static Measures.

Certain anti-static measures should be taken during the processing, production, and installation of LED underwater lighting products.

For example, the workbench should be grounded, and workers should wear anti-static clothing, anti-static rings, and anti-static gloves.

If possible, install an anti-static ion fan, and at the same time, ensure that the air humidity during installation is about 65%, so as to prevent the air from being too dry to generate static electricity.

In addition, LEDs of different quality grades have different antistatic abilities and LED underwater lights with high-quality grades to have stronger antistatic abilities.

3. Pay Attention To The Sealing of LED Products.

No matter what kind of LED lighting products, as long as they are used outdoors, they are faced with moisture-proof and sealing problems, especially for LED underwater lights.

If the sealing problem is not handled properly, it will directly affect the service life of LED underwater light products.
